Attendance
A student should attend all sessions of the course. Excused absences are permitted in emergency situations, but attendance of 80% is required to attain a satisfactory attendance record.
Equipment; Smoking; Children In Class; Course Auditing
Using a tape recorder during class sessions is NOT permitted. Battery powered, hand held, noiseless calculators without an alphabetic key pad are permitted. Smoking is NOT permitted in any Polley Associates’ facility. Because of insurance limitations, children under age 18 are NOT permitted in Polley Associates’ classrooms. Polley Associates does NOT permit students to audit or monitor its classes.
Questions
Instructors encourage questions from students during class sessions.
Questions should be brief and pertinent to the subject being discussed.
Personal questions must be held for the end of class.
Reservations
Polley Associates reserves the right to refund tuition fees and refuse continued admission to any class if a student disrupts the learning atmosphere of the classroom. Polley Associates reserves the right to change textbooks, class dates and times, instructors and/or outlines when necessary.
Postponement
On rare occasions, Polley Associates may be required to cancel a class or classes due to inclement weather. We've made it easy for our students to know which, if any, classes are cancelled. Simply call (610) 353-6776 and choose Option 5 for our pre-recorded messages on cancellations.

Responsibilities
The learning experience is a shared responsibility between the student and Polley Associates’ instructors. Students are urged to complete all reading and math assignments prior to the class sessions. Failure to complete assignments will result in a slower classroom pace, reduced learning and possibly failing course exams.
Exam Grades
When a student passes the end-of-the-course exam, a transcript will be mailed to the student two (2) weeks after the exam date. Should a student fail the end-of-the-course exam, a retake exam will be mailed to the student. Student requests for exam grades will not be disclosed via the phone or fax.
Transcripts
Students will be mailed their official transcript two weeks after they pass their course exam.
Cancellation, refund, credit and check policies
There is a $20 charge for returned checks. A student has not reserved a place in a course until registration is complete and the tuition is paid. Refund policy: All refunds are limited to 12 months. Polley Associates may have to cancel classes due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. If this should occur, all fees will be refunded. If the student voluntarily withdraws from the
Real Estate Practice and/or Real
Estate Fundamentals course, prior to the first class session, a $5 processing fee will be charged for each registered course. If a student voluntarily withdraws prior to the 2nd class session, there is a $50 fee. There is no refund after the beginning of the 2nd class session. There is no refund on books or tape sets. There is no refund on Exam Prep tuition. CareerStart participants who seek a refund for Fundamentals and/or Practice will be charged $40 for the "Vocabulary of Real Estate" audiocassette tape set.
