This is a full-day course. It fulfills 7 hours of the 14 hours of
mandatory continuing education (MCE) required by the Pennsylvania State Real
Estate Commission for salesperson's or broker's license renewal. It consists
of two components:
Ethics, Your Promise Of Professionalism
This course covers key ethical issues that all licensees need to practice on a
daily basis. It starts with the history of business ethics, and moves into
numerous practical applications after relevant Pennsylvania Real Estate
License Act provisions are added to the mix. Course participants also will
fulfill the National Association of REALTORS mandated Quadrennial Ethics
Training.
Client Servicing In A Tough Market
After completing this course, students will be able to:
- Summarize key components of a tough market
- Analyze and demonstrate the use of consumer handouts to distinguish
between buyers' and sellers' markets
- List the characteristics of today's demanding consumer
- Identify client strengths and weaknesses, and how to compensate for them
as needed
- Evaluate the menu of negotiating tactics that empower buyer clients to
better reach their objectives
- Demonstrate information-gathering skills and formulate ways to meet
real-life challenges
- Organize tools and techniques to protect consumers from questionable
practices
- Plan tools and language that better assist clients in pricing
appropriately in a tough market
- Construct a marketing plan that effectively communicates the scope of
seller services
- Describe the need for and benefits of an individual domain and website
for each listed property
- Distinguish and list consumer services that would be most effective in a
tough market
- Demonstrate packaging and presentation techniques to better convey
consumer services
