Introducing Accredited Seller Representation^®

Polley Associates' is proud to introduce the new Accredited Seller Representation^® designation! The designation is sponsored by the national Seller Agency Council^®, the largest and undisputed leader in the nation in seller agency education. Its two-day, flagship seller agency course focuses on enhancing the professional skills of seller's agents so they can provide true "value-added" service to today's home seller.

A seller agent is one who represents a seller in a real estate transaction as a client, and who treats buyers as customers. Seller agency has been a traditional role for real estate agents. But during the past 15 years very little academic emphasis has been placed on enhancing the skills needed to effectively meet the demands of today's home seller. Since 2000, a renewed interest in seller agency has placed a new emphasis on seller agency education and seller representation in the brokerage transaction.

About the ASR^® designation course

At the heart of any real estate agent's successful business is his or her ability to get the listing, effectively market the listed property, and complete its sale under terms most advantageous for the seller. The ASR^® designation course focuses intently on these and complementary skills.

Seller agency topics covered include:

• Preparing for the listing appointment
• Preparing an in-depth market analysis 
• Effectively pricing and positioning the property for marketing
• Effective marketing techniques for a new generation of buyers
• Property disclosure and contract provisions to protect the seller
• Defect resolution issues
• Effective communications from listing to closing
• Winning negotiating strategies
• Positioning and marketing yourself as a seller agent area expert
• Building a saleable business by becoming a "Market Area Specialist"

This is a two-day, 15-hour course. It is Pennsylvania State Real Estate Commission-approved for 1 credit towards broker's license requirements. It fulfills ALL 14 hours of mandatory continuing education (MCE) required by the Commission for salesperson's or broker's license renewal.

About the ASR^® Designation

The ASR^® (Accredited Seller Representative) Designation is awarded to real estate agents who are candidate-members of the Seller Agency Council^®:

1. Upon the successful completion of the fifteen (15) hour in-class ASR^® seller agency course, and 
   
2. Certification of five (5) closed sides of the transaction where the ASR® candidate has represented the seller, and
   
3. Letters of recommendation from three sellers represented in those transactions, and
   
4. Proof of membership in the National Association of Realtors^®.
   Upon receipt and verification of these items by the Seller Agency Council^®, the ASR^® designation is awarded and the candidate-member will receive their ASR^® certificate and ASR^® lapel pin via mail.

Seller agency benefits, monthly magazines, inclusion in the ASR^® national registry and usage of the ASR^® designation and logo is renewed every year when the agent renews his or her membership in the Seller Agency Council^®.
