Requirements to obtain your ABR Designation
The Real Estate
Buyer's Agent Council® has set specific
educational requirements to become an Accredited
Buyer Representative. Candidates must complete a
REBAC®-approved two-day basic Accredited
Buyer Representative (ABR)® course, as well
as a one-day ABR® elective course, to earn
the ABR® designation.
Polley Associates regularly holds both the
basic course and supplemental electives at several of its
locations. Please
check our ABR course menu
for upcoming schedules.
The two-day basic course
teaches the fundamentals and legal underpinnings
of buyer agency, how to start and operate
successfully as a buyer's agent, and how to market
and get paid for buyer's agent services. If you
completed this basic course after January 2003,
you have already successfully fulfilled two-thirds
of your ABR® educational needs! All you need do is take
an ABR® elective course to finish
REBAC®'s educational requirements.
Polley Associates offers several ABR® elective courses:
These ABR® elective courses are open to all
students of real estate, not just those holding or
seeking an ABR® designation.
During
2003 and 2004,
many of our students participated in one of these
ABR® elective courses as continuing education to
renew their Pennsylvania real estate sales
licenses. As a result, they have already fulfilled
a third of their ABR® educational needs! All
they need do is take the 2-day ABR® basic course to meet
REBAC®'s educational requirements.
