The national Seller Agency Council announced robust growth in the number of recipients it has certified as Accredited Seller Representatives (ASR). There are now certified ASR designees providing excellently tailored service to home sellers in 40 of the 50 states.

“We are very pleased with the strong response we are seeing to the ASR designation course – both online and in the classroom,” said Tom Mitchell, the council’s senior vice president. “As the market continues its current normalizing trend and competition heats up among real estate agents, every asset an agent has becomes vitally important in his or her primary objective: to persuade each seller that they are the agent most capable of handling the job of selling their home.”

“The jam-packed, 12-hour ASR course covers 37 key topics,” said Mitchell, "including in-depth, extensive education in facilitating the pre-listing and listing appointment, negotiating the offer, value demonstration, brand positioning, and ethics.”

The designation has attracted brokers and agents at all stages of the real estate industry spectrum, but one common thread unites every designee: the realization that the quality of their seller representation will directly affect the future of their business.

“Agents who can demonstrate their value in today’s market will win the listing,” said Mitchell. “It is the true difference-maker.”

After completing the ASR course, veteran Jerry Armstrong of Norwood MA explained how the instruction he received has helped to strengthen his various enterprises. “As a broker/owner of a giant international franchise for RE/MAX, with 35 years of real estate experience, I successfully maintained our market share of 56 percent.”

Rising Keller Williams agent Kat Brooks of Austin TX explained: “Integrity, marketing savvy, effective negotiation skills, a high-quality professional network, accessibility, good listening and communications skills …” were the subjects that earmarked her positive experience as an ASR designee.

The course expanded Winnie Lee’s established business philosophy of “providing exceptional service to a select group of clients who are looking for someone they can trust.” The Tucson AZ-based agent also said the course reinforced her goal to “facilitate a smooth transition in all phases of the real estate transaction.” Wanda Kelly of Flagler Beach FL admitted that, “selling real estate is a constant learning process,” but she credits the ASR course with helping her to “learn the lessons that enable me to improve my quality of service.”
