 Online Appraisal Re-certification
 The Top 6 Questions
The Top 6 Questions We Get Asked About Online Courses
  1. Can I take these courses using a dial-up (56K or less) Internet connection? NO. Unless you have a broadband Internet connection (DSL, cable or faster) we strongly recommend you avoid taking courses online.
  2. How do I benefit by taking courses online? If you're in a hurry to finish appraisal re-certification; or if live classes aren't scheduled when you need them; or if they're not close to you, online courses may be a good choice.
  3. Are online courses right for everyone? No. You'll enjoy live classes more than online ones if you like the ability to network with friends and others in the industry; or if you don't use (or don't like to use!) computers regularly; or if you're not diligent enough to return and complete an online course over time.
  4. How long do courses take to complete? Each course is approved for a specific number of hours. In most cases, these are "seat time" hours. So if the course you choose is approved for 7 hours, it usually means you'll spend 7 hours in front of your computer screen. But you can stop and re-start most courses at your convenience, which means you can take them when you want for only as long as you want until you're done.
  5. How does the PA State Board of Certified Real Estate Appraisers know I've completed my courses online? Our online course partner will electronically submit notice of your course completion to Polley Associates. Polley will then mail your Certificate of Completion to the address you provided during enrollment. You must then fill in remaining blanks on, and sign, the certificate, and keep it available in case you are audited by the Board.
  6. If I don't like the course, or I don't finish it in time, can I get credit for it or get my money back? No. We're sorry, but we do NOT provide any refunds, credits or exchanges for these courses under any circumstances. Please see our buyers' notice.
