Standard Agreement Of Sales Forms (15 Hours) Course Content
Are you practicing unsafe real estate?
You may be if you're "winging it;" that is, adding language to
Standard Agreements of Sale or other forms to address specific needs or
problems, but which may create liability for you or your clients later on.
Many times agents seek to write their own clauses into a contract because
they are unaware that language they need is contained in an unfamiliar or
little-used Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS®
form. These time-tested and legally vetted forms, when implemented properly,
help reduce liability and can protect agents' commissions in difficult or
sensitive procuring cause situations.
This course is a primer in everything you wanted to know -- and some things
you need to know but didn't -- about the multitude of forms for real estate
transactions created by PAR. Taught by long-time Polley instructor Dominic
Cardone, ABR, CRS, GRI, who also serves as chairman of the PAR Standard Forms Oversight Committee,
the course discusses risk reduction using most sales-related forms, as well as many used in
leasing, agency disclosure, listing contract, and buyer agency.
The course offers extensive, thorough, and comprehensive coverage of most
PAR forms, and Cardone also will respond to students' questions on specific
forms.
This
is a two-day, 15-hour course. It is Pennsylvania State Real Estate
Commission-developed for 1 credit towards broker's license requirements. It
fulfills ALL 14 hours of mandatory continuing education (MCE) required by the
Commission for salesperson's or broker's license renewal.
